* If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking Ponstel and seek medical treatment or contact your doctor immediately:
o an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
o muscle cramps, numbness, or tingling;
o ulcers (open sores) in the mouth;
o rapid weight gain (fluid retention);
o seizures;
o black, bloody, or tarry stools;
o blood in urine or vomit;
o decreased hearing or ringing in the ears;
o yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice); or
o abdominal cramping, indigestion, or heartburn.
* Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take Ponstel and talk to your doctor if you experience
o dizziness or headache;
o nausea, gaseousness, diarrhea, or constipation;
o depression;
o fatigue or weakness;
o dry mouth; or
o irregular menstrual periods.
* Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
Anaprox (Naproxen) – Possible Side Effects
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop taking anaprox and seek medical attention or call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
* chest pain, weakness, shortness of breath, slurred speech, problems with vision or balance;
* black, bloody, or tarry stools;
* coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds;
* swelling or rapid weight gain;
* urinating less than usual or not at all;
* nausea, stomach pain, low fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes);
* fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash;
* bruising, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness; or
* fever, headache, neck stiffness, chills, increased sensitivity to light, purple spots on the skin, and/or seizure (convulsions).
Keep taking anaprox and talk to your doctor if you have any of these less serious side effects:
* upset stomach, mild heartburn or stomach pain, diarrhea, constipation;
* bloating, gas;
* dizziness, headache, nervousness;
* skin itching or rash;
* blurred vision; or
* ringing in your ears.
Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:
* Rare
o Yellow eyes or skin
* Symptoms of overdose
o Diarrhea; increased sweating; loss of appetite; nausea or vomiting ; stomach cramps or pain; swelling, pain, or tenderness in the upper abdomen or stomach area
Also, check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:
+ Rare
+ Bloody or black, tarry stools; bloody or cloudy urine; fever with or without chills (not present before treatment and not caused by the condition being treated); pain in lower back and/or side (severe and/or sharp); pinpoint red spots on skin; skin rash, hives, or itching; sores, ulcers, or white spots on lips or in mouth; sore throat (not present before treatment and not caused by the condition being treated); sudden decrease in amount of urine; unusual bleeding or bruising; unusual tiredness or weakness
Other side effects not listed above may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your doctor.
Keep all appointments with your doctor.
Don’t let anyone else take your medicines.
Children – this medicine has been tested in children and has not been shown to cause different side effects or problems than it does in adults.
Older adults – Acetaminophen has been tested and has not been shown to cause different side effects or problems in older people than it does in younger adults.
Other medical problems – the presence of other medical problems may affect the use of acetaminophen. Make sure you tell your doctor if you have any other medical problems, especially:
* Alcohol abuse or
* Kidney disease (severe) or
* Hepatitis or other liver disease – The chance of serious side effects may be increased
* Phenylketonuria – Some brands of acetaminophen contain aspartame, which can make your condition worse
* Rare
o Yellow eyes or skin
* Symptoms of overdose
o Diarrhea; increased sweating; loss of appetite; nausea or vomiting; stomach cramps or pain; swelling, pain, or tenderness in the upper abdomen or stomach area
Keep all appointments with your doctor.
